A bit about my life with triathlons.

I started my journey with triathlons at a local Sprint Tri-series in CT when I was in high school. I was a swimmer who had never really biked and detested running! But something caught me about triathlons and the amazing community that surrounds them.

I continued racing in sprint and Olympics through University.
I decided to sign up for my first 70.3 distance race in Greece right after graduation, and boy was I not prepared in so many ways. Apparently swimming D3 throughout university, casually biking, and avoiding running was not the best training plan.  Sadly I had my first DNF, which I have to say really screws with ya.

I didn’t revisit the triathlon world until 2015 and signed up for my first 140.6 in Western Australia. This time I got smart and worked with a coach, and successfully did a sub 13hr full!  Then began the years to revisit the 70.3 distance starting in 2017. I had an ax to grind and wanted to conquer it! First, try, 70.3 Wi (7.02:32)…realized I don’t do very well in the heat but finished.

Went back to graduate school, so training switched to easy around-the-house trail running. Injury hit, but I worked with a physical therapist and truly relearned how to walk and run using the proper muscles.

In 2021 I began working with my amazing Coach Alana Gillmore at Thomas Endurance Coaching, and things finally began to click!

I got a result I was proud of and earned 5.40:19 at 70.3 Musselman. Then came back for more at 70.3 Az with 6.11:38, still having issues with heat but much improved. Became an All World Athlete and am ready for more races, more fun, and more trial and error!
